RULES AND REGULATIONS
Each player is
given a bank of 5000.00 fantasy money the start of the season.
Each week every player is required to make fantasy bets according to
their preference using the USA Today lines from that week’s Tuesday
Edition which are also emailed and posted on the leagues website, www.nogamblingallowed.net.
The league commissioner and secretary will keep track of each player’s
bank, but it's a good idea that each player also keep track of their
own bank. All league statistics and banks are viewable at all times
from the league website. At the end of the season, both college and
pro, whoever has the most fantasy money in their bank will be declared
the winner and will be announced along with 2nd,3rd,
4th and 5th place winners. A typical payout scenario
is:

This
payout varies only by the number of players entered, so encourage friends
to play. Once website fees are paid, 100% of entry fees go to the payout
distribution, the above scenario is meant only to give you a feel for
the percentage break down of each place. The cost of play is $60 per
person. The league commissioner, league secretary and league webmaster
play for free. All other fee’s will be combined and paid out after
subtracting the cost of the website and domain name fees. NO PROFIT
IS MADE BY ANY LEAGUE PERSONNEL. The only benefit to the league staff
is free play. Payouts of each place will be posted once all fees have
been collected and all website costs paid.

3. All picks will be based upon the
Tuesday's USA Today prior to the game weekend to determine the lines.
4. All picks will only be accepted
until 5:00pm Central Standard Time on the Thursday prior to the game
weekend. Any that are received after that time will NOT
be considered and 100.00 will be deducted from your bank (see rule #6)!
If a game should fall on a day prior to Thursday you may wager on those
games up until kick-off time of that game. Winnings/losses for games
that occur before the Thursday 5pm deadline will not be added or subtracted
from the player’s bank until that week closes. The betting weeks are
done from a “batch” perspective, not real-time. The money you have
in your bank when the betting week begins is all you will have to play
with that week, then at the end of that week, all players’ banks will
be updated with the winnings/losses from that week, and a new week will
open.
5. Any game with a NL (No Line) in
the Tuesday's USA TODAY prior to the game will NOT be eligible for that
week’s entries.
6. All players will be required to
place at least one (1) pick per week. If you do not place or are
late with a pick your bank will be DEDUCTED in the amount of
100.00 football bucks. If you fail to submit picks or are late submitting
picks more than five times during the season, your entry fee will be
forfeited and your bank reduced to zero. This is to ensure fairness
and to keep everyone in play and competitive.
8. All picks will be a maximum of
1000.00 football bucks. During the POST SEASON or BOWL GAMES INCLUDING
THE SUPERBOWL maximums will be 1/2 the total value of your current bank,
but your total wages in any case cannot exceed the current value of
your bank(i.e. you cannot have a negative bank value at any time).
9. All ties will be a push. (no gain
, no loss).
10. All rules may be revised/suspended
during post season play as desired by the collective (except for the
minimum one (1) pick).
12. All individual players will be
required to keep track of their own banks, but the final word will come
from the game commissioner who will also keep track of each individual
banks.
13. New and/or additional rules may
be enacted with 2 weeks notice if agreed upon by the collective.
The Betting Week:
Each betting week will begin on Tuesday and
end with the final game played on the following Monday night. Please note
– this DOES NOT mean that you can place bets the entire week. The betting
week basically controls the way your bank of points is “batched”. When you log in
on a given new week, the ending day and time of the betting window will be
at the top of your screen. Please also note that all times listed on the site are
Pacific times. The typical week will have a close time of 3pm Pacific time
each Thursday. The web site WILL NOT allow you to place picks after the deadline!!!!
This is a change from past game operation! You will NO LONGER be able to
e-mail the commissioner if you miss the deadline with late picks!!!!! The website
does this automatically, so get your picks in on time!!! If you miss 5 weeks of
picks, you will be disqualified. Once the pick deadline has passed you will then
be able to see all of the picks made by all players for that week. Each week you
will only be able to wager a grand total of the point amount in your bank at the
start of that week spread across teams. All totals will be updated and current by
the next Tuesday and the betting week will start again.
What the website doesn’t know:
The website DOES NOT know what teams
are playing in a given week, who is playing whom, or the lines. It merely tracks
teams, wagers, wins, losses, points and statistics. This means that you can bet
on a team that is not playing or a team that has a NL (No Line) for that week. PLEASE
not do this. NL means that you cannot pick that game for that week, it DOES NOT
mean that the teams are even. The line will read “even” in those cases. If you make
the mistake of betting an NL game, or you bet on a team that is not playing in a
given week, THE GAME WILL BE MARKED AS A LOSS AND YOU WILL LOSE THE FULL POINT
VALUE OF YOUR BET.
Key changes from old format:
The biggest change is probably this: In past years
ALL of your picks for a given week, had to be submitted at one time. This
is no longer the case. As long as the betting window is open you can come and go
as you please, adding or deleting picks as you please. The key affect of this will
be when there are games that take place BEFORE the window closes - i.e. Tuesday
and Wednesday night games. You will now be able to place bets on those games and
then come back and add or subtract bets after that game has taken place. You WILL
NOT be able to delete that wager if you lost it, OR add that wager after
the game has kicked off. But remember if you play a Tuesday night game and hit it,
the winnings from that game WILL NOT be added to your bank and will not be
available for wager until the current week closes and totals have been updated.
Other changes include additional statistics which are viewable by individual and
for the league as a whole. Individual statistics are only viewable for yourself,
NOT for other individual players in the game.
The website is the only way to play. You cannot
email picks in, or have them keyed for you by the commissioner. If you do not have
access to the internet and the website www.nogamblingallowed.net then you should not play.
